FAQ
Questions, answered.
The things people ask before hiring a contractor — answered plainly. Anything else, just ask.
- 01 ·
Are you licensed and insured?
- Grayfin Construction LLC is fully insured, and all work is performed in accordance with Florida contracting law. Certificates of insurance are available on request, and our current credentials are shown in the site footer.
- 02 ·
What areas do you serve?
- We're headquartered in Clearwater and work across the Tampa Bay area — including St. Petersburg, Tampa, Dunedin, Largo, Safety Harbor, and Palm Harbor. If you're nearby but not sure, ask; the answer is usually yes.
- 03 ·
How does the estimate process work?
- It starts with a conversation and a walk-through of the property. From there we put together a written, line-item estimate — labor, materials, allowances, and timeline — so you can see exactly where the budget goes. Estimates are free and there's no obligation.
- 04 ·
Do you handle permits and inspections?
- Yes. We prepare and file permit applications, coordinate with the local building department (City of Clearwater, Pinellas County, St. Petersburg, Tampa, or wherever the project sits), and schedule every required inspection. Permitting timelines are built into the project schedule from the start.
- 05 ·
How long will my project take?
- It depends on scope: a kitchen or bath remodel typically runs several weeks, an addition or whole-home renovation several months, and new construction longer still. Every estimate includes a realistic schedule with permitting and inspection time accounted for — and we tell you when something changes, not after.
- 06 ·
How do payments work?
- Projects are billed against a written payment schedule tied to completed milestones — never large sums up front. You'll always know what a payment covers and what work it corresponds to.
- 07 ·
Do you take on both residential and commercial work?
- Yes. On the residential side: custom homes, renovations, additions, and kitchen and bath remodels. On the commercial side: buildouts and tenant improvements for offices, restaurants, and retail spaces.
